A great example of a china souvenir cup made by Schumann of Bavaria depicting the S.S. Resolute of the Hamburg America Line. Launched in 1914 as the William Oswald for HAPAG, she would be renamed the Resolute in 1922 and proved Trans-Atlantic service between Hamburg and New York City until she was purchased by the Italian government in 1935. She would be damaged in an air attack on Naples in WWII and later scrapped in 1947.
